After much too long, I am finally back. Uni, work, travel planning and friends + family have been keeping me 

extremely busy but I've finally got a chance to post some of the things I've been working on over this period of blog abandonment.

My Week in Instagrams

Visited Vivid Sydney on Thursday; a festival of light, music and ideas.
From 6pm the city evolves into a brilliant display of colour and life.
This exhibition ends on Monday (11th June) so if you haven't had a look already, 
I strongly advise you make an effort to go and see for yourself.
There are some spectacular visions and ideas that I caught on film as well.

My final high school exams begin this Friday. I'm both excited & nervous to the max. 

Excited because the closer I am to exams, the closer I am to freedom. 

Nervous because... this may determine what direction my life will take next year. 

My hands have been feeling empty, it's been that long since I've held my camera! 

Hence the formation of these little blurrographs. 

In conclusion, wish me luck ya lil hooligans! I will need it.

From Friday to Monday I visited the quiet and familiar streets of Long Jetty with school friends.

I must say it was one of the best times I've ever had.

On the first day we drove, partying to an array of music and dinging the bell at glimpses of
P platers, yellow cars or attractive boys.

On the first night we rented DVDs & organised the food for our stay at the local Coles before
eating ravioli & frolicking around in the backyard with handstands & cartwheels
& all the other things you remember from your childhood.

On the second day we adventured to the far shopping centre, hunted some 
new threads & I slowly embarrassed myself in front of the lovely boy
working at the Cookie Man.

On the second night we watched a horror movie, had a ~romantic~ BBQ over looking
the beach & played with flashlights under the stars before a strange car pulled up
& we frantically dispersed.

On the third day we explored the markets & went to the beach. Dogs bounded in every direction
& the sea chased us whenever we went too close to it.

On the third night we had an in depth discussion about our dogs & their character,
relaxed & watched Step Brothers, The Hangover & Harry Potter XI for the
hundredth time all weekend but finally making it all the way through.

On the fourth morning we rose early, cleaned the house, packed our belongings &
went sifting through the bliss that is a second-hand stores before traveling home.

Finally bought a new urban originals handbag today! I've needed one like it quite some time now
so I'm very happy, despite the damage to my funds.

It has everything I needed:

1. Choose some fabric that you know she'll love, fold it with the pattern on the inside & iron, draw your love heart or whichever shape you'd like your pillow to be.

2. Carefully cut, leaving an edge around the outside of your shape, approx. 1cm wide.

3. Place the 2 pieces of fabric back to back with the pattern on the inside and pin it in place before sewing along your drawn line, leaving a gap between the end of the stitch and the beginning.
4. Turn the shape inside out by pulling the fabric through the gap, transforming it into the shape you have drawn, with the pattern of the fabric now on the outside.

5. Use something soft to stuff your pillow. I have used cotton balls for my pillow and have torn them up to make it easier to make even and less bulky.
6. Fold in your gap & use a simple stitch to close it off. Make sure to use plenty of stuffing before doing this.

7. Add your own personal touch; I have used 2 butterfly clips and added a little perfume.
8. Give your mum a Happy Mothers Day!

I think I'll start a Blog and possibly photo everyday in April project. :]
